Digital X-Rays

CBCT

When we need images beyond a digital x-ray, we use our CBCT technology to create a 3D image of your teeth, gums, and other soft tissues.

CBCT stands for “cone beam computed tomography” and helps us make a diagnosis, examine bone structure, plan oral surgery, and accurately place dental implants.

An accurate diagnosis is the root of all success when treating patients. CBCT is the tool that many times provides the information for that diagnosis.

What to Expect with CBCT

Imaging with CBCT is similar to digital x-ray. You’ll be asked to sit or stand while a device rotates around your head taking images from all angles. The entire process takes 30 seconds, and radiation is a fraction of traditional x-rays.

Intra-oral Camera

The more detailed the imaging, the better we can diagnose and treat your teeth. Our digital intra-oral camera lets us quickly and easily take high quality photos inside your mouth. The dentist uses these images to examine and evaluate your teeth and soft tissues.

Seeing photos from our intra-oral camera allows you to see what the dentist sees. You’ll have a better understanding of the condition of your teeth and our treatment plan.

VHF R5 MILL

Here at Huntline Dental Group, we’ve equipped our office with a R5 mill from VHF. This is a high-end machine designed for dental labs. The R5 is a 5-axis milling machine used for high-end dental restorations that require the highest precision.

ON-SITE MILLING BENEFITS

Many local area dentists send imaging to a separate dental laboratory to create tooth replacements, which adds time and expense. Having R5 in our building lets us quickly and precisely manufacture tooth replacements with the precision of a professional lab for natural teeth or implants.
